My friend Orson helped me with the painting, the look is phenomenal.
Oven painted in bronze color, the result is similar but not the same than original.
I think too much better than original!

and next sand the old and dirty metal chassis

except the rear side

to save serial number and old Marantz logo

Marantz 8B Restoration Project I

A year ago, my friend Tomas gave me this old classic vintage amplifier.

Sounds fantastic but the look is really bad.

Is a very good amp, one of the best sounding amplifiers of all time in their category.
Manufactured in USA from year 1962 up to 1966 is very difficult to find in good condition.
Tubes are 4x 6CA7 / EL34 , 2x 6CG7 & 2x 6BH6 and power is 35W RMS per channel.


It's going to be one fun project!
